Our Philosophy

We use fire to spice up our food! When you walk into a lot of restaurants they all feel the same. House of Flame wants to be different. We want you to come in and experience food that sets your taste-buds on fire. Market-fresh ingredients and solid food combinations are what make the Firehouse philosophy what it is. The Firehouse Team

We have carefully put together a team of people that have experience in making great food, who work together to make Firehouse what it is. Each person has a different area of expertise to set your meal experience on fire.

Owner/Manager

Gary is the Owner/Manager of the restaurant which opened in August 2013. It was his dream to have a restaurant of his own that offers unique, high quality, locally produced food to Sarnia-Lambton. Gary has over 20 years of experience in the food service industry. He has worked as a short-order cook, a professional ski instructor and managed several restaurants.

Gary has been thrilled about the reception of Firehouse, which is quickly becoming known in Sarnia as the best place to get a steak or burger.

Adele McGrady - The Bookie

Adele has worked part-time at the restaurant since January 2013. If you call us on the phone it will be Adele who takes your order. Adele is the fastest pen in Canada when it comes to taking complicated orders. She is also an actress in Sarnia little theatre, loves double Americano coffees and can generally be found in the library checking out new books when she isn't working at The Firehouse.

Aaron Berger - The Grillman

Aaron has been working part-time at the restaurant since January 2014. Aaron is master of the grill. He is also a trained chef, making sure that food is always top quality. He'd love to talk with you if you are wondering about the best way for cooking steak and burgers on your grill at home.

Megan Jarvis- The Foodie

Megan is the full-time Assistant Manager of the restaurant. She was hired because she has an incredible knack for creating great-tasting food combinations. She not only manages the store, but she is also responsible for making sure that our menu stays fresh and innovative.
